Team—
I know you all just wrapped up your gathering - I hope you’re as excited as I am with the positive developments. Last time I sent you all a note, I expressed the following: “I believe in this group. You all are some of the most dedicated and creative creators we have had the chance to collaborate with - and we’re looking forward for that relationship to endure.”
Given your hard work and flexibility, especially over the last year, you consistently demonstrate that.
The gamer responses from last autumn’s the game playtest was revealing. It validated the potential of a action-packed game but indicated we still had refinements needed. It uncovered the need for a clearer vision.
The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve advanced. You took the criticism to mind and revamped Project ETHOS with a renewed vision - one that’s positioned to achieve its ambition to our fans.
The belief in this project increases every day. To further the incredible progress you’ve made, I’m excited to announce the new hire as the new Studio Head of 31st Union. Following a period of discussions, Ben starts with us on next week.
His guidance and expertise in the competitive gaming field is extensive, having spent the past decade and a half creating and leading some of the most recognizable titles in gaming, such as the acclaimed shooter, and lately, Apex Legends.
I invite you all in receiving Ben soon. We are all eager to persist witnessing the development of the game in the months to come.
David
